Agenda for Monday, 10/19:

1) Journal – Your Legacy

“To live; to love; to learn; and to leave a legacy.” – Stephen R. Covey

The word legacy means “a situation that exists as a result of things that happened at an earlier time.”  Everybody leaves a legacy behind them as they move on to the next stage in life.  This is your last year at Thurston and before you know it, you will be moving on to your next adventure.

  • What legacy would you like to leave behind you at Thurston (how would you like to be remembered)?
  • What actions have you taken/are you taking to ensure you leave the legacy you desire behind?
  • What legacy would you like to leave behind you at Thurston as an 8th grade group/class (how would you like your 8th grade class to be remembered)?
  • What actions have you taken/are you taking to ensure you and your classmates leave the 8th grade legacy you desire behind?
  • Are there any obstacles that might get in the way of you leaving your legacy?  How might you overcome these obstacles?
  • Thinking ahead, what would you like your high school legacy to be?  Your lifetime legacy?
